Dr. Jaffray grew up in the Red Deer area, and later attended the University of Alberta, where she received a BSc. in Specialization Biochemistry in 1997. She completed her professional education at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. In 2001, Dr. Jaffray fulfilled her dream of becoming an Optometrist, graduating with distinction, and obtaining her Optometric Doctorate. In the same year, she won the national level thesis award from Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Fraternity. Upon returning to Canada, Dr. Jaffray practiced in several locations in Alberta before settling in Calgary in 2003. Dr. Jaffray is active in the Calgary Society of Optometrists, and was elected as a Member of the 2006 Council of the Alberta College of Optometrists. Dr. Jaffray practices full scope Optometry. However, she particularly enjoys working with children and fitting contact lenses. She volunteers her time giving lectures at schools and businesses regarding eye health and related topics. Dr. Jaffray is fluent in Portuguese and is a member of the Brazilian Community Association of Alberta. She enjoys the outdoors and participates yearly in the Super Cities Walk for MS, the Weekend to End Breast Cancer, and the Cheerios Heart & Stroke Foundation Walk for Heart.
